Orana Wildlife Park is in financial crisis and needs to raise approximately $4.1 million in the 2026/27 financial year to secure its immediate future.
We have developed a comprehensive Financial Sustainability and Recovery Plan. Without additional support, our available cash reserves are forecast to be exhausted by March 2027.
We urgently need help, to bridge the funding gap while our recovery plan takes effect. This support will help ensure we can continue providing exceptional care for our animals while meeting our essential operating costs.
We have a recovery plan, a pathway forward and an exciting vision for the future. We want Orana to endure and thrive for the next 50 years, and with the support of our incredible zoo community, that future can be a strong one.
Orana Wildlife Park is a registered charitable trust. Through conservation and education programmes, we’re doing our part for the next generation. There are many ways you can support the Park.

Become an orana bff
Join Orana’s Beast Friends Forever (See what we did there?) and support the Park through regular donations (weekly, fortnightly or monthly – your choice as every bit helps). As an Orana BFF you will be joining a community of supporters who make a meaningful regular financial contribution to the Park, and it's future.
Keeping the wild alive together
The money we receive from our BFF's will be used wherever it is needed most including; food, veterinary care, maintenance - essentially helping to pay the bills. As a charitable trust, your continued generosity will make a real difference to the Park, animals and our team.
As a BFF you will receive:
- A quarterly e-newsletter,
- Exclusive access to a closed Orana BFF’s Facebook group - To share your love of Orana, photos and memories. We'll share behind the scenes stories, Park announcements, conservation work and more.
- Special BFF invitation only experiences
- A single end of financial year receipt for tax use (which will include ALL your donations made through the year – no need to keep track of individual receipts)
