Accessibility

We want every visitor to feel welcome, supported, and able to enjoy Orana WildlifeDAD.png Park at their own pace. As New Zealand’s only open‑range wildlife park, our grounds are large and mostly flat, and our team is here to help you make the most of your day.

If you have any access needs or would like personalised support, please contact us before your visit. We’re happy to recommend quieter areas, sensory‑friendly spaces, mobility options, and anything else that will help make your time with us enjoyable.

Mobility parking
Four designated mobility car parks are located next to the entrance building. There is also a large set-down area outside the doors.

Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available for a small fee ($10) – just ask our friendly team on arrival about hiring one. All of our bathroom facilities offer a wheelchair accessible stall.

Access to Encounters
Due to the terrain accessed, not all of our animal encounters are fully accessible. For instance, some of our close Encounters aren't accessible by wheelchair or may require people to stand for the duration of the encounter. To check whether an experience you're interested in is accessible to you, please contact us on +64 3 359 7109 or info@oranawildlifepark.co.nz

Hāpai Access Card
Hāpai Access Card holders and their caregivers receive 50% off adult/child general admission entry to Orana Wildlife Park.

Please present your card or supporting ID when you arrive.

We offer a Flexi Annual Pass for visitors who require a caregiver. For more information on this pass visit our Annual Pass page.
