Orana Wildlife Park is open daily from 10:00am until 5:00pm

Last entrance is by 4:00pm, although it is recommended to allow at least 2 hours for your visit to make the most of your Park experience, our average visit duration is 3-5 hours.

The Park is only CLOSED on Christmas Day and is otherwise open every day of the year (including statutory holidays).

Conditions of Entry

  • For the health and safety of our animals, staff and visitors, we do not permit bikes, scooters, roller blades, skate boards etc, balls, frisbees etc and balloons, confetti etc into the Park. 

  • Due to agricultural regulations unfortunately dogs and other domestic pets are not permitted at the Park. If you require a service dog please contact us in advance 03 359 7109 or info@oranawildlifepark.co.nz

  • No commercial photography/filming to be taken without prior permission – please contact us for more information.

  • First aid facilities are available at our Information Centre (opposite the café, near the main administration building).

  • Children 15 years of age and under must be supervised and will not be permitted in to the zoo without a supervisor. Orana Wildlife Park is an open range zoo so there are a number of natural waterways throughout the Park. Our safari shuttle also regularly drives around the zoo so please watch children at all times.
