Wanting to learn more about our majestic giraffe and how we care for them?

Have we got the encounter for you! Join our team for a behind the scenes experience with our majestic giraffe where you’ll learn how we care for them, see inside their home and skip the public queue to hand-feed the giraffe!

Price: $69.50 - admission additional

Time: 11:30am, approx. 25-30mins

Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Age Restriction: Due to the behind-the-scenes nature of this encounter and health and safety requirements, each child aged 9 years and under must be accompanied by their own paying adult on a 1:1 basis. Children aged 10–15 years must be supervised by a paying adult, and one paying adult may supervise multiple children in this age group. 

Ticket Availability: 4 per day, tickets are released 28 days in advance and close 2hrs before experience starts.

Please Note: This encounter is seperate to our public giraffe feed at 12pm and 3pm. This encounter is designed to take you behind the scenes to see how we care for our tallest residents. There is a giraffe feeding component as part of this encounter.

• Bookings open 28 days in advance, and close 2hrs before experience starts.
• 4 tickets are available each day the encounter operates.
• The cost of the encounter is in addition to Park admission.
• There is no minimum age, however those 15yrs and under must be supervised by a paying adult. Those 10years and under must be supervised on a 1:1 ratio.
• Visitors with cold or flu symptoms may participate only if they agree to wear a mask
• Please advise us beforehand of anything that may influence your participation in this encounter. 
• Closed footwear must be worn in the interest of participant safety.

• Participants will be asked to use hand sanitizer to minimise health risks.

• Encounters are voluntary for our animals and may be modified or ended if required for animal welfare

• Personal belongings must be placed in the designated area, except for one mobile phone per booked group. Please hand your phone to the keeper during the encounter, your keeper will take photos for you, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience
