Treasures of Tāne

This programme explores New Zealand’s native species as taonga and examines their ecological and cultural importance. Through real examples at Orana Wildlife Park, students investigate how native animals and ecosystems are connected, why they are vulnerable, and how conservation and guardianship help protect Aotearoa’s natural heritage.
