April Holiday Programme

 

DO YOU HAVE AN ANIMAL LOVER OR BUDDING zoologIST AT HOME? 

Join us before we open to the public and watch Orana Wildlife Park wake up for the day! 

Activities include farmyard animal feed, making enrichment for a native or exotic species, watch the keepers give this enrichment to the animals, a private safari shuttle ride, and a private giraffe encounter.  Our experienced education team will also take you to visit some of our amazing animals, and give you an insight into what it takes to run a modern zoo. 

Please Note: We have a hands-off approach when working with the species in our care, therefore, physical contact with animals does not form part of this experience.

Time: 9.00-2.00pm 

Please do not arrive before 8.50am as nobody will be available to meet you. 

A caregiver must sign their child in and out. 

Where: Main entrance to Orana Wildlife Park.

Cost: $85.00 per child per day and includes a small soft toy or keychain take home gift.

What to bring: Morning tea and lunch, a drink bottle, weather appropriate clothing, sun/wind protection, and closed in waterproof footwear - gum boots are ideal if it has been wet!

How many places are available?

There are 12 spaces available per day.

What time does it start and finish?

The programme starts at 9:00am and finishes at 2:00pm.
Please do not arrive before 8:50am.

How old does my child need to be?

The programme is for children 7-12 years old.

Is lunch included? 

No, children must bring their own lunch.   

We have a microwave and kettle available for heating food items.

Can my child go to the Cafe?

We will not be making stops to the Cafe.
